13 MARCH, 2018

It got to 65 degrees here today. It was partly cloudy most of the day so it didn't feel that warm. I too a walk with my camera around town and took some photos of the new flowers showing up in people's yards. I really enjoy getting out an taking photos of the new flowers. I use it for an excuse to get some exercise. Feel free to share the photos and if you want an original file just ask and I will send it too you. Enjoy. Spring is here! At least until the next snow storm!!!!

It is with very mixed emotions that I start my "blog" writing again....it seems as though I have failed miserably at maintaining it. I hadn't written anything since 2012. I can find a variety of reasons for not writing ..... but none of them would present the real reasons why....suffice to say that I simply didn't. How can a causal click on a bookmark Popsie excite me enough to start again? Maybe it was the realization of those lost memories coming back to life for a brief instant that accomplished the impossible. How do I re-start....I can't even remember how to make an entry it has been so long since I have done it. You know what they say about Ole Fartes??? Just give them 15 minutes and they will forget how to tie their shoes!

Let's give this a try.... 3/11/2018 .... that is a blog entry for yesterday. What exciting event happened yesterday? I drove up and went ice fishing at Deyo Reservoir....well sort of ice fishing. How do you go ice fishing but not go out on the ice? Well when the ice is not safe enough o hold a fat Ole Farte from falling though is when! The lake was still ice covered...
but as you can see from the photo there was a fishing dock that extended out into the reservoir. I have fished from it during the summer so there was no reason why I couldn't fish from there today. Well to make a long story shorter....I drilled a hole off the edge of the dock and fished from the dock! The stocked rainbow trout was hungry and during the beautiful sunny afternoon I caught my limit of small stocked rainbow trout.

I guess that I find it sorta satisfying to write again about my adventures.....well at least it takes up some of "free" time that I seem to have on my hands. I'm not promising anything but maybe...just maybe...I might talk myself into doing this again! Maybe tomorrow I'll write about the spring flowers...
